Gooten offers some interesting POD products that may not be available from other providers at solid prices. They have production partners but don’t allow sellers to select them.

Jeff also Recommends

Gelato is a platform with production partners in over 30 counties, providing a great option for faster international shipping times.

Teelaunch

Jeff also Recommends

Teelaunch offers great pricing on mugs and other drinkware, personalized gift items, and some products that are not available from other platforms. Apparel prices are a tad high though.

Keyword Research

Tools to help with niche research, keyword tags, and competition analysis.

Sale Samurai

Jeff’s #1 Pick!

Sale Samurai is my Etsy keyword research tool of choice. I’ve used it for over a year and find it very easy to compare search volume with competition. It also comes with a great chrome extension. Don’t forget to use coupon code podinsights for 20% off!

Everbee

Competition & Tag Research + Email

Everbee offers a great Chrome extension with keyword research and a useful tag analyzer that helps you quickly find relevant tags. They also have an email program that can automate customer email campaigns. There are free and paid account tiers.

eRank

Top Free Pick

eRank offers a free account if you’re getting started and don’t want to invest in a paid research tool yet. It does have limitations but it helped me make more early sales in my shop!

Alura

Research + Email Marketing

Alura provides Etsy research including best-selling products by category and search phrase and insights into the SEO used by other others. A recent addition is a fully automated email marketing tool that will get your shop set up with just a few clicks.

Graphics & Mockups

Resources for design assets & mockups.

Vexels

Top Graphics Pick

Vexels offers a huge catalog of graphics made for print on demand use with new assets added daily. An annual or lifetime license are the best values. They also offer mockup tools and PSD templates.

Creative Fabrica

Graphics & Fonts

Creative Fabrica offers a library of fonts and print on demand graphics for a monthly fee or annual membership with unlimited downloads. My link gives you a free trial of the all access pass!

Placeit

Top Mockups Pick

Placeit offers a free or paid account with a giant selection of high quality mockups, videos, and a lot more with the paid account. Even the free account has a nice selection!

Pixabay

Free Graphics Pic

Pixabay offers free commercial-use vectors, PNGs, and photos you can incorporate into designs (check the license for proper use!) and to help promote your business.

Canva

Top Social Media Pick

Canva offers a free account with tons of design templates that are great for social media content, shop graphics (banners, logo, etc.) and promotional material.

Allsunsets

Affordable Sunset Graphics

Allsunsets offers a library of retro style sunset graphics that you can use as a base to create your designs for an affordable annual license fee.

Kittl

Graphics & Design Tool

Kittl offers a library of high quality design templates that are fully customizable and more advanced editing functionality compared to Canva. You can try it for free!

Editing Software

Design creation/editing software.

Photoshop

Top Paid Pick

Adobe Photoshop is what I’ve used to create & edit designs for years. It’s not just for photos! You can subscribe for a monthly or annual plan at Adobe. The photography plan includes Lightroom if you use that as well.

Photopea

Free Web-Based Tool

Photopea allows you to create, edit, and download image files in their online UI and the functionality has a similar look & feel to Photoshop. It’s great for getting started if you might purchase Photoshop later since the interface is similar.

GIMP

Free Software Download

GIMP is a full-featured editing software that you install on your computer. It has a wealth of editing features but some find the UI to be a little hard to learn. It does not support editing RAW files but for print on demand graphics that is generally not needed.

Affinity Photo

Single-Pay Option + iPad

Affinity Photo is a powerful photo editing software that does not require a subscription. For a one-time cost (still less than $60!) you get the software and lifetime updates. It’s feature-packed and does everything you need to edit your print on demand designs and they also have a killer iPad app version! This is not an affiliate link, I just really like what they offer for a one-time cost!

Affinity Designer

Vector Design Pick

Affinity also offers Designer, a vector graphic design software. It’s just as feature-rich as their photo editor software but is based in the more fluid and freeform vector graphic structure. If you create your own designs or work with vector files, designer is a powerful tool that also only requires one payment rather than a subscription. There’s also an iPad app!
